oracle 8i new features

About the course

The course is intended for Oracle specialists who need to familiarise themselves with the new features embodied in the ORACLE 8i database, be this from the viewpoint of DBA, experienced developer, or as second line support staff familiar with the workings of Oracle. The course covers a wide range of topics, from underlying database architecture through to data management using PL/SQL techniques.

Throughout the course, the training follows a pattern of firstly, how and why Oracle works as it does, followed by hands-on using simple illustrative examples. The training is very much hands on based.

A real-world view of the training is adopted, to take the delegate past the training lab and into the world of business computing. Your contribution to the labs is highly valued in this respect. Feel free to discuss issues relating to your own businesses, especially where the class as a whole would benefit from seeing what problems, and options to solve them, exist outside the lab.
