About
the course
The course is ideal for programmers who are unfamiliar
with XML document data encoding and who need to know how XML is
handled in Java. The level of the material is introductory in nature
and the training lined up with those who are unfamiliar with the
technology and have not seen it implemented in Java before. The
presentations are very much hands on and aimed at giving you real
skills to take away with you.
The training platform is based on Sun Microsystems Java SDK, version
1.4 and the programming interface is a mixture of the terminal monitor
SDK and Borland’s J++ graphical development tool. We work
on Windows XP Professional o/s, but what you learn is immediately
portable to any o/s platform.
Owing to the constraints of time (we only have one day to cover
this subject) this will be an overview but with sufficient hands-on
to show you what the syntax looks like and where to find the necessary
Java components.Who should attend
The potential of XML documentation standards to allow massive systems
integration cannot be overlooked and will increasingly become a
pressing issue in the Private and Public sector alike. Anyone who
needs to acquire XML skills, implemented by Java packages, must
attend this course.
The training is aimed at those new to XML
Pre-requisites
Attendance on our course, “Java programming fundamentals”,
or equivalent knowledge of Java, is assumed.
You must be familiar with Java programming techniques in general.
